No Street Journal Editor vacancy
Anyone interested in being the editor for the NSJ can submit a letter of interest to: dorbaDOTsecretary@gmailDOTcom
Read attached files for a description of the requirements. However, all the requirements are very flexible. We want to try something new and move away from dedicated software to create the newsletter and simply use the tools available through Drupal in this forum.
If you have any questions send me an e-mail.

I don't think anything or anyone would preclude having the content available both on the web and a PDF format.
i got the impression that we were steering away from the look of the last NSJ and going for more a blog type newsletter.
Now this is just my opinion.... But as long as we have the content accessible as web as text and photos, there is no reason a more "packaged" version could not be produced and made available. As it stands now I don't have the content (text and photos) from the last issue in any other format but a very, very large PDF.
I don't see any reason to limit options as to how the content is either produced or consumed. But since we have this site (and it is our primary vehicle for reaching the public), it would be nice of those articles and photos could be made a part of it. Many more folks would find via Google searches, etc. Right now it's locked away in a giant PDF and if someone has interest in just one of the articles they are not going to find it and if they do I'm not sure they are going to want to download the whole thing just to search again for what they were looking for. Does any of that make sense?
One option is not at the exclusion of the other.

I think it's a shame that when we finally got a high quality high content newletter and a template with it to move forward, that we are changing up things so it can be just another online read that won't have half the usability that a PDF can offer. I thought the last issue was the best the club's had...but then again I'm bias.
