If you've been shopping for a new lighting system or just interested in trying out a premium lighting rig, you'll be able to do so at this year's Bash. From our sponsor (and fellow DORBA member) TrailLED:

"For those of you looking for an alternative or additional after dark activity at the Bar H Bash Trail LED is pleased to announce that we will be providing a number of lights on both Friday and Saturday night for demo rides. So if you haven’t tried night riding yet, or think that LED’s are only for navigating the trip to the rest room after dark come borrow a light to see how new technology and old darkness can combine for a really good time out on a trail."

Lighting systems will be available on a limited basis to riders after dusk on Friday 4/9 and Saturday 4/10.

The test of the machine is the satisfaction it gives you. There isn't any other test. If the machine produces tranquility it's right.

A big thanks to TrailLED for being an official DORBA\Bash sponsor and offering us the opportunity to test his state-of-the-art gear. I, for one, am in the market for an upgrade and look frwd to comparing to my halogen.

Out there.

I can't wait to get on that trail in the dark!  Should be a ton of fun!  Should we bring out own lights too or will there be plenty for us to try and ride with?

I am planning on having about 20 sets of lights available for demo purposes. Most will be the 500l variety, but will have several Darkstars and 4x's as well.Unless there is an underwelming response plan on one light set per person.

Thanks

Charity, I didn't think you had a light after Warda?

Also just as an FYI Bar H has some recomendations as far as who night rides their trails. Even a few to avoid. Look it up on their page.

Night riding is allowed (and recommended for the more experienced riders) on all trails except the Devil's Backbone. We do however, require a daytime familiarization pre-ride to minimize potentially serious injuries. Handlebar and/or helmet lights are mandatory.

Night riding at BarH rocks, especially Armadillo flats as fast as possible.

Pay it forward.

I have a small set I won from JD last year, but they are not very bright and don't stay charged long.  What I used at Warda was courtesy of Big Pig / Luke.  I could really use a good helmet one.
