trying to find an easy path or trail from downtown Dallas to whiterock. anyone know of anything?
Not really any MUPs that go all the way. You could use Santa Fe MUP for part of the route.
Try Google maps new Bike function.

I'm looking for the same route.
That would be cool to know. Go from Hillcrest to WRL, then to Downtown on my roady.

Here is the marathon course from the lake to downtown. Just follow it in reverse. In a few months the multi use trail along the railroad right of way will be finished from deep ellum to the dam.
Ther is one from 75/roayl to WRL if you have a MTB bike. It's teh east Dallas Veloway. Runs on the old rail line. There is one bridge out you have to navagate around. It is all ridable. From Down ton the Santa fe will get you there.
That is the one under construction to which I refer. Not sure it is passable with the construction activity.
I'm not aware of any trails but Swiss avenue is a nice quite street that you could take.
